ROCK DROPS FIRST GAME OF SEASON
Slippery Rock led No. 14 Lynn 7-6 at halftime Sunday before fading in the second half as the nationally ranked Knights outscored SRU 9-1 in the final 30 minutes to post a 15-8 win. That marked the first loss of the season for The Rock, which had opened the year with three wins at home. SRU struggled in the mid 80 degree temperatures in the second half at Lynn after playing its first three games in temperatures under 40 degrees.

RONDEAU LEADS NATION IN DRAW CONTROLS
Rock senior captain Charleigh Rondeau pulled down 11 draw controls against Lynn to increase her season total to 43 through just four games. Her 10.75 draw controls per game are the most of any player in Division II. She is one of just two women in Division II to average more than 9.0 draw controls per game. Her 10.75 draw controls per game rank third among all college women's lacrosse players with only one player from Division I and one from Division III averaging more.

RONDEAU CLOSING IN ON SRU CAREER RECORD
Charleigh Rondeau ranks second all-time at SRU in draw controls with 268. She needs just four more draw controls to break Lauren Laubach's career record of 271, which has stood since 2013. Rondeau already owns SRU's single-game (18) and single-season (144) records for draw controls and her 7.0 draw controls per game is already an SRU career record (Laubach's 5.42 per game is second).

SRU RANKS TOP 10 IN CAUSED TURNOVERS
Slippery Rock enters Tuesday's game ranked No. 1 in the PSAC and No. 7 in Division II with 13.5 caused turnovers per game. The Rock also rank 14th nationally in ground balls per game at 22.0. The Rock have six players averaging at least one caused turnover per game, headlined by Sara Danowski with 10 in four games. Alexa Juska has eight, while Nicole Masi has six, Leora Owings and Amelia Nitsche each have five and Olivia Fox has four.

HIGH SHOOTING PERCENTAGE
Slippery Rock ranks 11th in the country in shots on goal per game with 26.75 shots on target per game. The Rock have put 84.3 percent of their total shots on cage this season, scoring on 40.2 percent of their total shot attempts. The 84.3 percent shot on goal percentage is a significant improvement from the 2022 season, when SRU averages 76.8 percent in that category.

ROOKIES ON THE SCORE SHEET
Slippery Rock has two true freshmen ranked in the top five on the team in scoring through the first four games of the season. Attacker Ida Modin ranks second on the team in points with seven goals and three assists, while Olivia Fox ranks fifth on the team in points with six goals and one assist and is coming off a hat trick Sunday at Lynn. Leora Owings has two goals and one assist and Maddie Blazey and Ella Koslowski each have one goal to give freshmen a third of all of SRU's goals this spring (17-of-51).

SRU STATS BREAKDOWN
Through four games, Slippery Rock is outshooting opponents 127-87 and outscoring the opposition 51-41. The Rock have posted advantages of 88-75 in ground balls and 64-44 in draw controls while also causing 54 turnovers and limiting opponents to 74 percent success on clear attempts.

Lauren Searles leads the team in scoring with a career-high 13 points on 10 goals and three assists while also leading the team with 20 shots on goal. Ida Modin is the only other player with at least 10 points through four games and ranks second on the team with seven goals and three assists. Camryn Whipple (five goals, four assists), Brooke Wisniewski (7g, 1a), Olivia Fox (6g, 1 a) and Charleigh Rondeau (5g, 2a) round out the top scorers. Rondeau leads the team with 43 draw controls, while Leora Owings leads the squad with 11 ground balls.

Sara Danowski leads the defense with 10 caused turnovers and 10 ground balls, while Alexa Juska has eight caused turnovers and six ground balls.
