Slippery Rock won two of its final three matches during its annual Spring Break trip to bring a 5-3 overall record back north. SRU is 2-1 against fellow Division II teams this year with wins over Ashland and Shepherd as well as a loss to nationally ranked Newberry.

Clarion enters the match looking to snap a six-match losing streak that has dropped the Golden Eagles' record to 1-7 overall and 0-1 in league matches.

• Anchoring The Rock's singles lineup is
Lois Page, who will bring a 12-6 overall record into the week including a 5-3 mark in first flight dual matches. Page has won 107 matches at SRU, the 11th highest total in program history and four away from tying Dunja Drmac for 10th place.

Adriana Gonzalez Sanchez has won two of her last four singles bouts to improve to 6-9 on the year overall. She has competed out of the second flight in seven of SRU's eight dual matches this year.

Gabriela del Val del Toro has won a team-best 13 singles matches in 2021-22 including a 5-3 showing at No. 3 singles. Overall, the reigning PSAC West Athlete of the Week has won seven of her last 10 matches.

• After starting the season 3-4 in individual tournament contests,
Nuria Martin Lopez has begun the team portion of The Rock's season by going 4-4 in dual matches while primarily playing from the fourth flight.

Teddi Isherwood has been great for SRU as a rookie, producing a 12-3 overall record, a 7-1 showing in dual contests all the while winning a team-high six consecutive matches predominantly from the fifth flight.

Zoe Heed has also supplied The Rock with much-needed wins in the back half of the team's singles rotation as the Coker University transfer has won five of her first eight matches while representing SRU.

• Alexis Strouse (1-7) has served as Clarion's top singles competitor in all eight matches this year.

• The rest of the lineup has shifted around throughout the year with Savannah Buttery (1-7), Alayna McGovern (2-6) and Josie Beckerleg (2-6) each having appeared in all eight matches as well with Alyson Fisher (1-3) and Charlie Allison (0-1) also having played in dual matches as well.
