Q: What was your first job growing up?
A: Little League Umpire.

Q: When did you know you wanted to go into a career in collegiate athletics?
A: I explored the idea in high school by working with my high school athletic director performing game and facility operations. I entered college as a physical education major, but after two weeks found myself looking at the stadium, field and gymnasium setups and layouts more than the kids I was supposed to be teaching. I came back to campus and switched my major before even going back to my dorm room.

Q: What’s your all-time favorite movie? You can give us a few if you can’t pick just one.
A: Cars.

Q: How do you relax?
A: Camping, Hiking, Kayaking, biking, going to NASCAR races and floating on my pool noodles.

Q: What’s your favorite meal?
A: Hot dogs and baked beans.

Q: What was your first car? What’s your dream car?
A: First car was a 1998 Chevy Cavalier. My dream car is a Prevost Motorhome.

Q: What artists and/or songs on your current most-listened to playlist?
A: Anything country, rock or bluegrass.

Q: What’s the best advice you ever received and who did it come from?
A: From a former boss: “For us it may be the 80th game of the year, but for someone else it may be the first time they ever enter through our gates. Don’t get complacent, give them a reason to come back.”

Q: What’s your favorite season/type of weather? Why?
A: Fall. Nothing beats the smell of a campfire in the cool crisp morning with the leaves full of bright colors.

Q: When you go grocery shopping, are you the “Make a List” person or the “Just Wing It” person?
A: Just wing it. I’m the guy that just wanders aimlessly up and down every aisle.

Q: What was your favorite or most memorable vacation?
A: Camping in the infield of the Daytona 500, and doing a month-long camping loop through Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia, hitting two national parks along the way.

Q: Where is one place you haven’t visited yet, but you definitely plan to?
A: Everywhere west of the Mississippi River.
