SCOUTING THE ROCK
• LAST TIME OUT – Slippery Rock exploded for its highest single-game goal total of the season with all of them coming in the second half in a 4-0 win over Pitt-Johnstown.
Alexander Vilchek and
George Oakley registered four points apiece in the win.

THE BOUNCE BACK – SRU's win over UPJ was its first win since Sept. 21 over Lock Haven. Rock bounced back from a 2-1 loss against East Stroudsburg in its win in awesome fashion, tallying a shutout and four scores.

"WELL, THAT ESCALATED QUICKLY." – The Rock managed to score four goals in 14 minutes and 11 seconds which is the shortest amount of time that it has taken an SRU team to tally four scores.

• HAVEN'T SEEN THAT IN A WHILE – Vilchek's two goals in the contest marked the first time that a Slippery Rock freshman has scored multiple goals in a game since Benjamin Lloyd tallied two at Gannon on Sept. 19, 2009.

• OAKLEY ADDS TO HIS POINTS TOTAL – Oakley also registered four points in the contest on Wednesday, which is the most he's recorded in a game in his career. He posted a goal, and dished out two assists in the win.  Â

• HELPING THE OFFENSE – SRU now has nine different players with at least one goal on its roster. Vilchek netted his first two goals Wednesday, while
Mohsen Kanani also added his first career goal.

• PADDING THE DEFENSIVE NUMBERS – The Rock also shutout an opponent for the fourth time this season and is tied for second in the conference in team shutouts with four. SRU also has the fifth-best team goals against average in the PSAC at 1.14.

• HUNSBERGER AMONG THE BEST – Matt Hunsberger has also been one of the top goalkeepers in the conference as he is tied for first in the PSAC in shutouts (4), has the third best save percentage (.806) and the fourth best goals against average (1.06).

• Brock Gould and Trey Orner have evenly split time in goal this season for Bloomsburg. Gould has a 3-2-0 record, a 1.60 goals against average and a .771 save percentage while Trey Orner is 2-3-0 with a 1.80 goals against average and a .710 save percentage.
