SCOUTING THE ROCK
LAST TIME OUT – The Rock fell Sept. 15 at No. 2 Simon Fraser, 1-0. Slippery Rock's goalkeeper Jonathan Sharp made a career high 10 saves, while SRU could only muster two shots, one on goal.
 
MILES AWAY – Despite the loss, Burnaby B.C. is 2,644 miles way making it the furthest distance any SRU team will travel to face an opponent this season.
 
OFF THE BAR –The Rock narrowly had a chance of tying the game at Simon Fraser. At 69:17, Slippery Rock's Kyle Boyer laced a shot that hit the crossbar. Unfortunately, the team did not record a shot for the rest of the second period as Simon Fraser held on to win.

SAFETY – Rock keeper Sharp has been tremendous in goal through the first four games of the season. Sharp ranks first in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference in save percentage (.897) and third in the league in total saves (26).
 
THE OFFENSE – Boyer leads The Rock in points scored with four on two goals. Other point scorers are Anthony Werth (one goal) and Sean Tinney (three assists).
 
RETURN HOME – Slippery Rock will return to James Egli Field for Wednesday's home contest. The Rock men are 17-15-4 dating back to 2010 at Egli.
