Slippery Rock – Goldey-Beacom ResultsBLOOMSBURG, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's tennis team split a pair of matches Saturday, beating Philadelphia University and losing to the No. 37 Goldey-Beacom, at the Bloomsburg Duals in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania.
The split moves The Rock's record to 9-8 on the season. Slippery Rock has now won four of its last five matches. Once a team earned its fifth point of the match all of the other pairings that were still playing had matches halted.
For the first time in three matches, Slippery Rock was able to win two of the three doubles matches to take a 2-1 lead into the singles portion of its match against Philadelphia.

Ana Petrovic both registered matching 8-5 victories to get SRU off to the strong start.
The Rams managed to avoid a third doubles loss when Julia Arruda and Jala Hamada downed
Nina Barbano and
Carla Corrochano Moracho, 8-4, in the first flight.
Woodman remained perfect in singles play in 2015 with a 6-0, 6-0 win against Mariana Sampaio in the sixth flight.
Barbano and Munson were then able to pick up SRU's fourth and fifth points of the day to seal the win at second and fifth singles, respectively. Barbano beat Ana Kudriavtceva (6-4, 6-2) to improve her singles record to 12-7 and Munson was a 6-2, 6-4 winner against Sylvia Bennicelli.
The Rams final point of the match came in the third flight when Emily Chung bested Petrovic off of back-to-back 6-2 sets.
Moracho and Fortier were both leading in their respective singles bouts when SRU earned the fifth and deciding point of the match.
Slippery Rock was unable to pull off a clean sweep on the day as Goldey-Beacom took all three doubles contests and two quick singles matches to register a 5-0 victory in The Rock's second outing of the day. Goldey-Beacom came into the weekend ranked No. 37 in the nation by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
SRU concludes its time at the Bloomsburg Duals with a match against Charleston University, which is ranked fifth in the Atlantic Region by the NCAA, at 8 a.m. on Sunday.
