The victory improves Slippery Rock's record to 1-2 on the season. Alderson-Broaddus falls to 0-4 with the loss.

SRU, which is ranked seventh in the Atlantic Region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association  jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead after sweeping the doubles matchups.

Freshmen
Nina Barbano and
Carla Corrochano Moracho were victorious 8-0 against A-B's Stephanie Gertsakis and Mireia Fabrega. Freshman
Anna Carpenter and junior
Courtney Gallagher followed suit with an 8-0 win at third doubles against Adalou Farris and Taylor Swift.

Sophomore
Stephanie Fortier and freshman
Ana Petrovic surrendered a point, but still pulled off an impressive 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles over Jordyn Walker and Nicole Martin.
SRU continued its dominant showing in singles play as Corrochano Moracho, Barbano, Fortier and sophomore
Emily Munson all produced shutout victories at first, second, fourth and sixth singles, respectively.

Barbano improved to 4-3 on the season with her win while Corrochano Moracho has won two singles matches in a row to even her record at 3-3 on the year.

Petrovic and Gallagher rounded out the impressive 6-0, 6-2 and 6-1, 6-0 victories out of the third and fifth flights.

Slippery Rock will look to finish off its weekend on a high note when it travels to St. Bonaventure on Saturday at 2 p.m.
