SCOUTING THE ROCK•
Last time out: Junior midfielder
Mike Pcholinsky scored a goal with under five minutes remaining in double overtime to lift Slippery Rock to a 1-0 victory at Gannon Oct. 7.
• Slippery Rock has not lost at East Stroudsburg since 2007. Additionally, Slippery Rock has allowed just three East Stroudsburg goals in the last seven games of the series.
• No current Rock player has scored a goal against ESU in their careers, but senior defenders
Ryan Boylan and
Ryan Lutke have both earned valuable experience against the Warriors by having appeared in each of the last three games of the series.
• Pcholinsky's goal was his first of the season and second of his collegiate career.
• Senior forward
Peter Boylan setup Pcholinsky's game-winner and now has three assists on the year, a Rock-high and the sixth most of any player in the PSAC.
• Lutke leads SRU, and ranks sixth in the PSAC, with six goals
• Senior forward
Mike Ilodigwe, junior forward
Matt Sangermano and freshman midfielder
Justin Minda are The Rock's other multi-goal scorers. Ilodigwe has three goals while Sangermano and Minda have two each.
• Slippery Rock has the rare luxury of being able to chose between two tested and productive goalkeepers in Rerick and senior
Kyle Hoffer. Hoffer is 4-2 with a 0.92 goals against average and a .739 save percentage. Rerick is 3-1 with a .821 save percentage and a 1.22 GAA.
• SRU, which ranks second in the league in goals allowed (13), has only surrendered four first half goals this season.
• Slippery Rock has played consecutive overtime games; the last time SRU played three straight overtime games came in 2013 when SRU played back-to-back-to-back double overtime matches. The Rock went 1-0-2 in the games thanks in part to current SRU assistant
Joe Agerskow, who made 21 saves in 324:44 of live action.
• Rock head coach
Andy Hoggarth is two wins shy of his 20th victory at SRU. If Slippery Rock were to win its next two matches, Hoggarth would reach the 20-win mark in 31 games and become the third fastest head coach in SRU history to 20 wins behind John Eiler (26 games) and Archie Dodds (28 games).

• Aster starting the season 5-2, ESU has lost its last four games.
• Casey Choffy and Christian Bukowski are ESU primary offensive threats with seven and six goals, respectfully, on the season. The totals are good enough to rank third and fourth in the conference. Bukowski has also passed out five assists for 17 points on the season, the third most in the PSAC.
• Scoring has not been an issue for ESU this season as the Warriors rank second in the league with 24 goals. However, their 18 goals allowed are the fourth most in the conference.
