Records: Slippery Rock enters its first road contest of the season with an overall record of 1-2. Daemen College is 1-1 overall after splitting its first two games.

Last Time Out: SRU had its highest scoring output of the year, but it wasn't quite enough to defeat the eighth-ranked University of Charleston in what was ultimately a 6-2 defeat (

Daemen couldn't overcome a two-goal halftime deficit as it fell from the ranks of the undefeated with a 4-0 loss at Le Moyne (

Scouting Slippery Rock: With one goal and two assists on the season,
Stephen Donnelly is The Rock's leader in points with four. He starts the weekend ranked second in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference in both points and assists. Donnelly is coming off of a one-goal, one-assist effort against Charleston. His performance was the fifth outing of his career in which he compiled at least three points.

Peter Boylan,
Dom Francis and
Matt Sangermano have accounted for Slippery Rock's other three goals this year.
Brandon Chiu and
Josh Allman round out SRU's point scorers after both were credited with assists on goals against Charleston.

Steven Rerick has been the goalkeeper of record for all three Rock decisions in 2014. Thus far, Rerick has registered a PSAC-high 22 saves as well as a .733 save percentage, a 2.67 Goals Against Average and one shutout.

As a team, Slippery Rock has earned 17 corner kicks while surrendering only 14. Since 2010, SRU is 15-7-2 in games following a loss.

Scouting Daemen: The Wildcats were picked to finish in 11
th place in the East Coast Conference prior to the start of the season. Daemen's roster consists of 11 returners and eight newcomers. DC has been outshot by its opponents 18-3 and out cornered 17-6. Daemen opened its schedule with a 2-1 win against the College of Saint Rose prior to its loss at Le Moyne.

Individually, Cole Beale and Nick Sammarco have scored Daemen's two goals. Goalkeeper Matt Daddario has played all 180 minutes for the Wildcats and has allowed five goals to go with 13 saves.

Head Coaches: Andy Hoggarth became the 11th head coach in Slippery Rock history on May 30, 2014 after serving as an assistant coach with the women's soccer team at the University of Akron in 2013. Prior to that appointment, he served as the head coach of both the men's and women's soccer teams at nearby Thiel College for six seasons from 2007-12.

Mark Spacone returns for his fourth season manning the sidelines for the Daemen College men's soccer team in 2014 after guiding the program into a new era last season as the Wildcats joined the ECC and NCAA Division II. Spacone is 12-34-1 at Daemen.

Series History: Saturday's contest will be the first meeting between Slippery Rock and Daemen.
