BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Slippery Rock University's women's tennis team split a pair of matches Saturday in opening-day action of the Bloomsburg Duals competition.
 
The Rock dropped a 5-1 decision to Chestnut Hill College to start the day, then bounced back to blank hosting Bloomsburg University 5-0.
 
The split gave SRU a 12-12 overall record heading into its final regular-season match, an 8:30 a.m. Sunday date with Bluefield State College.
 
The Rock's No. 1 doubles team of seniors Nikolina Grbac and Sarah Joumond won an 8-5 decision to account for SRU's only team point in the match vs. Chestnut Hill and won an 8-4 decision to highlight the winning effort vs. Bloomsburg.
