SINGLES PREVIEW
Slippery Rock is represented in main singles draw by the ranked trio of No. 3 Nicole Kempton, No. 5 Léane Ben Ammar and No. 13 Nadia Rodewald.

Kempton opens her championship run against Bloomsburg's Ona Marcinkeviciute with a potential second round bout against either Patricia Castejon (Frostburg State) or Lea Stefanovic (East Stroudsburg) looming.

A year ago, Kempton advanced to the quarterfinals of the ITA Atlantic Region Championships.

One of The Rock's talented four-member freshmen class, Ben Ammar makes her ITA regional championship debut against fellow freshman Deline Blania Loof of Fairmont State with the winner moving on to square off against either Angeline Almeyda (Frostburg State) or Neza Rogl (Edinboro). Ben Ammar has opened her collegiate career with three wins in her first seven matches.

Now in her second year at The Rock, Rodewald is set to play West Chester's Delaney Tingle in her opening-round match. Rodewald, who is 21-10 over her Slippery Rock career, would meet the winner of the Talia Nichols (West Virginia State) / Isabelle Torres (IUP) first round match. Rodewald and Torres were matched against each other in SRU's PSAC Tournament victory over IUP a year ago, but the match went unfinished in The Rock's 4-0 championship shutout.

As the 11th seed, Noemi Gordan will be against Brinley Orris (Shippensburg) in her opening-round match.

The Rock's unseeded singles entries' matchups in the first round include Lucia Garcia Cortes against Dasha Nakonechna (Bloomsburg) and Madison Warren versus Gracie Clark (West Chester).

Garcia Cortes is another freshman for SRU, while Warren brings a wealth of experience into her first season at The Rock after beginning her career at Stonehill University. Both have multiple wins this season in prior individual competition.

As part of the "B Draw", Sophia van der Berg (3-5) is slated to face Edinboro's Agostina Fernandez while Anna Poranski (2-3) is paired against Salem's Ekaterina Korsakova.

DOUBLES PREVIEW
After opening their first season as a team with a 5-2 record, Kempton and Rodewald enter the ITA championships hot as the Atlantic Regions second seed against Edinboro's Neza Rogl and Daniela Rebeca Tomala Egas in the first round. While it is their first season as a team, both Kempton and Rodewald have enjoyed great success in doubles competition at The Rock throughout their respective careers.

A year ago, Kempton partnered with Alissia Kivi to advance to the ITA Atlantic Region championship match which garnered the duo a berth into the ITA Cup as part of a season in which they went 21-12 and finished as the No. 45 ranked doubles team in the nation. Rodewald meanwhile teamed with Dari Sakhanova and went a nearly perfect 23-3.

The veteran / rookie combination of Warren and Ben Ammar are seeded fifth in this weekend's tournament with a first-round matchup against Shippensburg's Orris and Renee Kinard on the horizon.

The Rock's unseeded doubles entries are Gordan and van der Berg, who are matched with East Stroudsburg's Jenna Kastell and Ariel Kelsick, as well as Poranski and Garcia Cortes which will play the fourth-seeded IUP team of Asel Calbay and Chia-Ying Lu.
