INDIANA, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's tennis team lost a 9-0 decision Monday at Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division rival Indiana U. of Pa.
The loss dropped SRU's season records to 9-7 overall and 1-2 in division competition. The Rock are ranked fifth in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division II Atlantic Regional poll.
IUP, the No. 44 team in the latest ITA national poll and the No. 2 team in the regional poll, improved its season records to 12-6 overall, 3-1 in division action.
The Rock return to the courts Tuesday to take on defending PSAC champion and region No. 1-ranked California U. of Pa. in a 3:30 p.m. home match.
