INSTITUTE, W. Va. – The Slippery Rock University women's tennis team dropped a hard-fought 5-4 decision Saturday afternoon at NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional rival West Virginia State University.
With the loss, SRU, the No. 6 team in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association regional ranking, saw its season record fall to 8-6
West Virginia State, the No. 3 team in the latest regional ranking, improved its season record to 16-6.

Kasey Love won an 8-4 decision before Joumonds won the No. 1 singles match in three sets, 7-6 (4), 1-6, 6-2.
Senior
Elisabeth Yetiskul won a 6-1, 6-3 decision in the No. 3 singles match and junior
Lauren Coggins won a 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 comeback win in the No. 5 singles match to account for the other Rock points.
The Rock continue their swing through West Virginia with a noon match Sunday at the University of Charleston.
