BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Slippery Rock University's women's tennis team concluded the Bloomsburg duals with a 5-1 victory over the University of Charleston improving its overall season record to 11-8.
The Golden Eagles saw its record drop to 14-11.
Time restraints in the duals, forced this match to be a race to five points.
The Rock won No. 1 and No. 2 doubles matches respectively, allowing Charleston only one point in the No. 3 doubles match.
Clinching the final three points for SRU, were
Elisabeth Yetiskul at No. 3 singles,
Janelle Krantz at No. 4 singles, and
Lauren Coggins at No. 5 singles, claiming the fifth point ending the match.
The Rock continue their season with a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-West division rival when they take on Clarion University at home on Thursday, April 18th in a 3:30 p.m. match.
