BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Slippery Rock University's women's tennis team improved its overall season record to 10-8 with a 5-0 victory over Atlantic Division rival Bluefield State University.
Bluefield saw its record drop to 6-12.
Weather restraints forced this match to be a race to five points.
SRU swept all three doubles matches, followed by wins in No. 4 and No. 6 singles matches preventing the Blues from scoring.
Janelle Krantz scored the fourth point for The Rock in her No. 4 singles match and
Samantha Bruggeman earned the fifth and final point for The Rock in her No. 6 singles match.
The Rock continue play in the Bloomsburg duals and are scheduled to battle the Golden Eagles of the University of Charleston at 9:30 a.m. Sunday.
