HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – The Slippery Rock University women's tennis team recorded its fourth consecutive win Monday afternoon with a 9-0 shutout of Centre (Ky.) College.
The whitewash was the third recorded by the Green and White during their four-match win streak.
The win evened the NCAA Division II Rock's season record at 4-4 heading into a 1 p.m. Wednesday match vs. Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference and Atlantic Region rival Kutztown.
Centre, a Division III competitor, suffered its fourth loss in as many dual matches this season.

Lauren Coggins led The Rock's winning effort Monday as she won her No. 5 singles match by 6-0, 6-1 scores after she and senior partner
Janelle Krantz recorded an 8-1 win in the No. 2 doubles match.
The Rock recorded “double-breadstick” (6-1, 6-1) wins in the No. 3, 4 and 6 singles matches.
