HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – The Slippery Rock University women's tennis team beat Nebraska Wesleyan University, 9-0, Sunday afternoon to continue its spring break matches. The win was The Rock's third consecutive overall and improved their season record to 3-4. Nebraska Wesleyan, which is an NCAA Division II Great Plains rival of The Rock, saw its season record drop to 1-5.
The Rock had a strong showing from the entire team today, as they all pulled out victories in both doubles and singles matches.
Sarah Joumond got her first collegiate win of the season in her singles match.
The Rock continue their spring break schedule Monday with an 8 a.m. match vs. Centre College in Hilton Head Island.
