MONROEVILLE, Pa. – In Friday night's non-conference women's tennis match between Division II Slippery Rock University (0-3) and Division III power Carnegie Mellon University (2-0), the Tartans recorded a 9-0 victory.
“We are playing tough teams now to hopefully get the wins later,” said Rock head coach
Matt Meredith.
“We came out stronger in the singles matches than we did in the doubles,” Meredith said, “Which is encouraging.”
The Rock's next match will be Feb. 22 vs. Division I Robert Morris University at the Oxford Athletic Club in Wexford.
