SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The 17th-ranked Slippery Rock University men's soccer team will host Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference rival California (Pa.) Monday night at 7 p.m. at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium.

Records: Slippery Rock enters the game with an overall record of 6-1-1 and a PSAC mark of 1-1. The Rock is riding a three-game winning streak and is coming off a 4-0 win at Pitt-Johnstown last week and a 3-0 win at then 22nd-ranked Charleston.
California is the only other PSAC team to only play two league games so far and enters the game with a 4-4-1 overall record and a 1-0-1 mark in conference games. The Vulcans are coming off a 2-1 win at Ohio Valley Saturday.
Rankings: Slippery Rock moved into the national rankings last Tuesday for the first time this season at No. 17. A win Monday night could move SRU even higher in this week's rankings, which will be announced Tuesday afternoon.
Scouting The Rock: Slippery Rock is outscoring opponents 19-5 and outshooting the opposition 138-93.
Zach Hall leads the team in scoring with three goals and three assists, while
Michael Ramirez leads the goal scorers with four.
Dom Francis has added three goals and one assist and
Stephen Donnelly has two goals and two assists.
Joshua Gray leads the team in assists with four and
Brandon Chiu and
Stephen McConahy each have two goals to cap the top scorers.
The back four of Gray,
Declan Brennan,
Josh Brake and
Ryan Boylan have helped the team post a 0.60 goals against average through eight games.
Scouting the Vulcans: California is outscoring opponents 19-14 and outshooting the opposition 127-96.
Jeffrey Kyei leads the team in scoring with seven goals and two assists, while Chris Hunkele has three goals and one assist and Kevin Helbig and Cory Kuzilla each have two goals and one assist to lead the scorers.
Tyler Woolum, Jon Murphy, Gaby Deller-Borgono, Brad Colvin and Elliot Taylor all have one goal on the year.
Goalkeepers: Chris Zier has started the last three games in goal for SRU and is 3-1 with a 0.59 goals against average, an .867 save percentage and two shutouts. His only loss came against Seton Hill, when he allowed a penalty kick goal after coming on in relief.
Joe Agerskow started the first five games and is 3-0-1 with three shutouts, a 0.60 goals against average and a .864 save percentage.
Shane Donovan has started seven games in goal for California and is 3-3 with a 1.54 goals against average and a .630 save percentage. Mitch Mack has started two games and played in four games, owns a 1-1-1 record, a 1.41 goals against average and a .636 save percentage.
Streaking: The Rock has been defeated in just five games dating back to the beginning of last season, going unbeaten in 24-of-29 games.
Head Coaches: Michael Bonelli is in his fourth season at the helm of the Slippery Rock program. Bonelli has posted a record of 35-20-10 during his SRU tenure. He has led the program to two berths in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference playoffs and one appearance in the conference title game.
Emedin Sabic is in his first season as the head coach at California, where he owns a 4-4-1 record. Sabic has been involved with Cal soccer for 10 years, playing for the Vulcans from 2003-06, serving as an assistant coach with the women's team for three years and joining the men's staff in 2010 as an assistant.
Series: California owns an 18-14-2 advantage in the all-time series between the two teams, including a 3-1 win in the last meeting.

California posted a 16-10 advantage in total shots and The Rock earned a 3-1 edge in corner kicks.

Shane Donovan made three saves in goal for the Vulcans to earn the win.
