SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University men's soccer team will travel to No. 12 Gannon University for a crucial Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference match Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m.

Playoff Situation: Gannon is one of five teams that have already secured a PSAC playoff berth. With just one spot left for grabs, Slippery Rock is one of four teams in the hunt. The Rock can clinch a berth with a win over Gannon and a Lock Haven loss to Mercyhurst Wednesday. If both SRU and LHU lose Wednesday, Slippery Rock could clinch the final playoff spot with a win over Lock Haven Saturday. Bloomsburg and Shippensburg are both still alive, but would be eliminated with a Slippery Rock win in either of The Rock's two final games.
Scouting The Rock: Slippery Rock enters the game with a 7-3-6 overall record and is coming off a 0-0 double overtime tie at West Virginia Wesleyan last weekend. The six ties is the most ever recorded by an SRU team in a single season.
Slippery Rock is outscoring opponents 30-15 and outshooting the opposition 249-200.
Chris Davis leads the team with six goals and two assists and is coming off a two goal, one assist performance against Lake Erie last week.
Stephen Donnelly ranks second with five goals and one assist and
Michael Ramirez is in the middle of his best season with four goals and two assists.

Mike Roopchandsingh each have two goals and three assists to cap the top scorers.
Clayton Master has started 15 games in goal for SRU and is 6-3-6 with seven shutouts. He has allowed 13 goals for a goals against average of 0.80 and has made 66 saves for a .835 save percentage.
Scouting the Golden Knights: Gannon opened the year with nine straight wins and moved into the top five in the Division II rankings, but the Golden Knights have lost two of their last five matches to sit at 12-2 overall and 6-1 in the PSAC.
Gannon is outscoring opponents 32-14, but is being outshot 204-198. Robbie Bennett leads the team with eight goals and five assists, while Alex Perri ranks second with six goals and three assists. Sean Pike has five goals and five assists, Tyler Hollingsworth has six goals and two assists and Adam Sharbaugh has four goals and two assists to cap the top scorers.
Jason Barbarino has played every minute in goal for Gannon and is 12-2 with six shutouts. He has allowed 14 goals for a 0.97 goals against average and has made 74 saves for a .841 save percentage.
Head Coaches: Michael Bonelli is in his third season at the helm of the Slippery Rock program. Bonelli has posted a record of 25-17-9 in his three seasons, including an 11-7-1 mark and a berth in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference playoffs in 2010. Prior to his time at SRU, Bonelli spent five seasons as an assistant coach at the Division I level, with stints at Northwestern and Lafayette. He received a bachelor's degree in physical education from SUNY Cortland in 2004.
Rob van Rheenen is in his 16th season as the head coach at Gannon, where he has led the team to a 162-112-14 mark during his tenure. He was a standout player on the Gannon men's team in the 1980s, earning two All-America honors. He still ranks third on the all-time scoring ledger at Gannon with 166 points and is a member of the Gannon Sports Hall of Fame.
Series History: Slippery Rock owns a 19-9-1 advantage in the all-time series, including a 3-1 win last fall.
