Box Score

BLOOMSBURG, Pa.
-- Jeremy Deighton recorded his 14th goal and fourth assist of the season and Greg Blum registered his eighth shutout of the year as the 21st-ranked Slippery Rock University men's soccer team recorded a 2-0 victory at Bloomsburg Saturday in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-crossover action.

The Rock, which improves to 13-2 on the year, was in control of the game from the opening minutes, never allowing the Huskies (7-5-2) a chance to gain any momentum.

Iain Langstone put Slippery Rock on the board in the eighth minute when he converted on a double assist from Deighton and Benjamin Lloyd. The goal, which stood as the game-winner, was Langstone's first of the season.

Deighton added an insurance goal in the 65th minute when he found the back of the net on a diving header off a long crossing pass from Anthony Paganie. The goal stands as Deighton's 14th of the season, which leads the team and the PSAC.

Blum was credited with four saves in earning his PSAC-leading eighth shutout of the season. Bloomsburg's David Leiendecker was credited with the loss after allowing two goals and recording nine saves in the game.

The Rock finished the match with advantages of 14-7 in total shots, 11-4 in shots on goal and 8-3 in corner kicks.
