SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- Brooke Scholl scored an unassisted goal with 26:25 left to play Monday to account for the only Rock goal in a 21-1 loss to seventh-ranked Mercyhurst in non-conference action on Bob DiSpirito Field at N. Kerr Thompson Stadium.

The loss was the 17th of the season for SRU and concluded a second consecutive winless season for the Green and White.

Mercyhurst outshot SRU by a 33-8 margin en route to its 12th win in 14 games this spring.

Rock starting goalie Ashley Winkelspecht recorded two saves in the first 13-plus minutes of action before being replaced by Sara Williams, who turned aside five shots in the final 46-plus minutes.

Monday's game was the collegiate finale for Scholl and senior classmates Leeann Sowers and Jayme Timmons.

Scholl finished her two-year Rock career with 10 goals and five assists. She scored five goals and had five assists this spring.

Timmons was The Rock's second leading scorer this spring with 16 goals in her only season of varsity intercollegiate lacrosse competition.

Junior Caitlin O'Brien led The Rock in scoring this spring with 23 goals and two assists.
