SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- Caitlin O'Brien put The Rock up 1-0 off an unassisted goal three minutes into Tuesday's game vs. Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference rival Shippensburg.
The Red Raiders then scored 19 unanswered goals as they sailed to a 19-1 victory over SRU.
The loss was The Rock's sixth in as many games this spring and fifth in conference action.
Shippensburg recorded its second straight win of the season after three successive losses and advanced its PSAC mark to 2-1 with Tuesday's victory.
The Rock was outshot by a 43-14 margin.
Rock starting goalie Ashley Winkelspecht allowed 16 goals and recorded 14 saves before she was replaced by Sara Williams, who allowed three goals and recorded two saves in the second half.
The Rock seeks that elusive first win of the season Thursday when it hosts Bloomsburg in a 4 p.m. PSAC game on Bob DiSpirito Field at N. Kerr Thompson Stadium.
