SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- Junior forward
Jeremy Deighton scored two goals and assisted the other two Rock tallies Wednesday afternoon to lead The Rock to its fourth straight win, a 4-0 triumph over visiting Alderson-Broaddus (W. Va.) in non-conference action on James W. Egli Soccer Field.
Deighton (pictured above) now has a team-best nine goals and two assists for the Green and White, who with the win Wednesday improved their overall record to 9-4-1.
Alderson-Broaddus, currently the No. 2 team in the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference standings, saw its overall record drop to 6-8.
Deighton scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 11th minute of action off an assist from sophomore forward
Lucas Feathers.
Deighton also scored the second goal of the game, this time off an assist from freshman Joachim Berstzel in the 22nd minute of action. The assist was Bersztel's first of the season.

Anthony Paganie scored his first goal of the season and the third goal of the game in the 48th minute, assisted by Deighton and Feathers.
Feathers now has three assists to go along with three goals scored this fall.

Kenneth Fultz scored the final goal, his second of the season, off assists from Deighton and freshman
Shane Kelley in the 88th minute. Kelley picked up his second assist of the season.
The Rock outshot Alderson-Broaddus by a 12-8 margin, including a 6-3 edge in shots on goal.

Greg Blum had three saves in the first 60 minutes of action before freshman
Clayton Master played the final 30 minutes. Master was not called upon to make a save.
The Rock plays its final non-conference game of the season Saturday at Davis & Elkins (W. Va.) before closing out the regular-season schedule with four straight Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division contests.
The next Rock home game is at 7 p.m. Oct. 22 against Mercyhurst. The game will be played at N. kerr Thompson Stadium.
