Slippery Rock University junior running back Shamr Greene ran for 116 yards and one touchdown on 22 carries to help lead #25 Slippery Rock to a convincing 39-13 road win at New Haven. He averaged 5.3 yards per carry and also caught three passes for 14 yards. Slippery Rock was the only Super Region 1 team in the national rankings to win its week one game.
