Slippery Rock University redshirt junior pitcher Jon Anderson helped lead The Rock to an 11-2 victory in game three of last weekend’s SRU-IUP series. In what was the second complete-game effort of his collegiate career, Anderson scattered six hits and two runs over seven innings while striking out four Indiana batters to earn his first win of the year. Anderson threw 6.2 innings of scoreless baseball until the Crimson Hawks managed to avoid the shutout with a two-run single in the bottom of the seventh before Anderson retired the next batter to ensure the Rock victory. Anderson allowed only three hits in the first six innings of the contest.
