Results 

EDINBORO, Pa. – Easton Adamczyk won the individual title and the Slippery Rock University men's cross country team won the team title at the Doug Watts Open Saturday morning at Edinboro.
 
The Rock put all five scorers in the top nine places to run away with the team victory with 31 points. Edinboro and Gannon tied for second with 64 points each. Daemen was fourth with 102 points and Division I Mercyhurst was fifth with 130 points.
 
Adamczyk picked up his first career collegiate cross country win after covering the 6,000-meter course in 19:50.50, edging the runner-up from Daemen by four seconds at the line.
 
The Rock's next four scorers finished in consecutive order in positions 6-9 with just nine seconds separating the group. Blake Glass made his SRU debut a good one and took sixth in 20:15 to be the second scorer. Michael Gauntner was seventh in 20:16 with Eli Schreiber taking eighth in 20:23 and freshman Ty Fiscus rounding out the scorers in ninth in 20:24.
 
Scotty McConnell was 16th in 20:51 and Colton Adolph was 19th in 20:55 to cap the top seven.
 
A total of 85 runners from six complete teams and three incomplete teams finished the 6K course.

Slippery Rock will return to action next Friday morning at the Robert Morris Colonial Invitational at the Younthtowne Fields in Clinton, Pennsylvania.
