GREENSBURG, Pa. – The seventh ranked Slippery Rock University women's lacrosse team clinched the outright Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division title for the second year in a row after earning a 10-6 comeback win at No. 22 Seton Hill Wednesday from Dick's Sporting Goods Field.

The Rock keep their perfect regular season intact and improve to 16-0 overall and 9-0 in the PSAC West, locking up the division title for the second year in a row and securing the No. 1 seed in next week's PSAC Playoffs. SRU will host East Division No. 4 seed Shippensburg in the PSAC quarterfinals Tuesday at 4 p.m., where a win would make SRU the host for the semifinals and championship game next Friday and Sunday. Seton Hill drops to 9-6 overall and 6-3 in the PSAC West.

The win extended Slippery Rock's current streaks to 26 straight regular season wins, 23 straight PSAC West wins and 10 straight wins on the road.

Wednesday's game was truly a tale of two halves as the hosts frustrated SRU for most of the opening 30 minutes on the way to taking a 6-3 lead into halftime. The Rock turned it over 11 times in the first half and managed just three goals on eight shots on goal after entering the game ranked second in the nation in shots per game.

The tides turned at halftime as Slippery Rock slammed the door and posted a shutout in the second half on the defensive end of the field while pouring in seven goals on offense to rally back for the 10-6 win.

Lily Ventresca was terrific in goal and made six saves in the second half to finish the game with nine total saves on her way to improving to 15-0 on the year. Her effort and the defense in front of her limited Seton Hill to just 2-of-8 on free position shots while SRU only attempted two free positions in the game.

Mckenzie Murphy finished with three caused turnovers and three ground balls, while
Aleigha Dubroc added two caused turnovers and two ground balls,
Violet Freebody forced two caused turnovers and grabbed four ground balls and
Paige Jenkins forced one turnover and picked up three ground balls to highlight the defensive effort.

Grace Rotter was held off the scoresheet in the first half before netting a hat trick in the second half to lead SRU with three goals and two assists.
Isabella Buono added a hat trick and
Reagan Richeson netted two goals and one assist as The Rock's top three scorers on the season carried the attack.

Abby Fink and
Ella Koslowski each scored one goal to round out the point scorers.

Mila Udovicic led Seton Hill with three points on one goal and two assists and Amara Forsyth and Sydney Marusko each scored two goals. Goalie Katelyn Patts made 10 saves, including five in the second quarter.

Slippery Rock finished with narrow advantages of 28-26 in total shots and 20-15 in shots on goal. Both teams grabbed nine draw controls and 21 ground balls.

The Rock will close out the regular season Saturday with a noon game on the road at Lock Haven with a chance to complete the first undefeated regular season in program history.
