25-Year Reunion Registration
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Slippery Rock University will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the 1997-2000 football teams that won four consecutive conference titles Nov. 1 with a 25-year reunion at The Rock's final regular season home game.

Members of the football teams from 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2000 are invited to attend the event, which will include an informal gathering Friday evening, Oct. 31, and a day full of events Saturday, Nov. 1.

All players wishing to attend the event should register at the link above. The cost to attend is $30 per person. Custom apparel is also available during registration with players having the option to purchase a t-shirt or a hoodie.

The four-year run from 1997-00 was one of the best in program history with The Rock claiming four straight PSAC titles, earning three trips to the NCAA Division II Playoffs, reaching the national semifinals for the first time at the Division II level and rising to a program-high No. 2 national ranking, which still stands as the highest ranking in program history.

Those four teams, coached by George Mihalik, posted a combined record of 41-9 with four of those nine losses coming against Division I teams in the season openers. The Rock were 41-5 against Division II competition in those four seasons.

25-YEAR REUNION SCHEDULE – NOVEMBER 1
9:30 a.m. – Meet at the Ski Lodge at SRU
10:30 a.m. – Welcome comments
11 a.m. – Lunch
1 p.m. – SRU Football vs. Clarion (team recognition at halftime)
4 p.m. – Postgame party at the Ski Lodge

There will also be an informal gathering Friday, Oct. 31 at 7:30 p.m.
