SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University football team celebrated the end of the spring practice season with the annual Green vs. White Spring Game Friday night at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium.

The offense (White) prevailed with a 28-24 win over the defense (Green) after tallying four touchdowns and turning the ball over just one time on special teams.

The defense scored three points for each three-and-out and each takeaway, two points for each sack and one point for every forced punt, while the offense scored points in the traditional manner.

The offense racked up 434 total yards in four 10-minute quarters with 227 passing yards and 207 rushing yards.

Four quarterbacks played in the game with
Brad Hoffman getting the most snaps and turning in a stellar performance by going 8-of-12 for 117 yards with one touchdown in the passing game.
DaOne Owens completed 6-of-10 passes for 19 yards and had one long run overturned by a holding call while playing limited snaps in the first half.
David Bahm completed 3-of-6 passes for 80 yards and
Ben Moore was 1-of-4 for 11 yards. The Rock's QBs combined to go 18-of-32 for 227 yards with one TD and no interceptions.

No players carried the ball more than seven times on the ground with junior transfer
Dominic Berarducci leading the way with seven carries for 54 yards and one touchdown. All-American
JayJay Jordan played limited snaps and finished with 49 yards on just four carries.
Marco Cirigliano added four carries for 35 yards,
Nathan McKnight III rushed for 30 yards on one carry,
Luke McCoy ran for 28 yards and one touchdown on five carries,
Eryck Moore-Watkins ran for 27 yards and one TD on seven carries and
Jalen Cline had one 16-yard carry.

Tight Ends
Lou Swartz and
Carson Heckathorn led the receivers with Swartz catching three passes for 49 yards and Heckathorn catching two passes for 36 yards and one TD.
Hamilton Gates caught two passes for 21 yards, Cline grabbed one pass for 40 yards and
Telly Palmer caught a 36-yard pass.

Carmen Metcalfe led the defense with six total tackles, one tackle for loss and one fumble recovery on special teams.
Elliot Premus added six tackles and one sack,
Ben Lane added six tackles and one tackle for loss and
John Frangos added six tackles.
Brett Kwoka finished with five tackles, one sack and two tackles for loss, while
Kaden Fisher added four stops and one tackle for loss.
Owen Suah tallied one sack and
Evan Harper recorded two pass breakups.

Slippery Rock opened the game by celebrating with offensive coordinator
Joe Marella, who proposed to his girlfriend Brooke during the pregame team talk at midfield.

The Rock will now focus on the summer training period before fall camp begins in August. SRU opens the season at home August 27 at 6 p.m. against nationally ranked University of Minnesota Duluth.
