IRVING, Texas – Seven players from the 2025 Slippery Rock University football team have been named to the Hampshire Honor Society by the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame in recognition of their academic achievements.

In order to be named to the Hampshire Honor Society, a student-athlete must have completed their final year of eligibility in the fall or must have already earned an undergraduate degree, must own a cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 3.20 or above and must have been a starter or significant contributor during the 2025 season.

Slippery Rock's seven players that were recognized include kicker and holder
Cory Butts, tight end
Demeatric Crenshaw, receiver
Reggie Fleurima, safety
Michael Henwood and offensive linemen
Eli Podgorski,
Matthew Prudhomme and
Luke Pugliese.

The group of honorees is headlined by two-time Academic All-American
Michael Henwood, who maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA in the exercise science program. Henwood was named to first team Academic All-America honors this fall after earning second team honors last year.

The group also includes first team All-PSAC offensive lineman
Luke Pugliese and second team All-PSAC offensive lineman
Eli Podgorski.

The Hampshire Honor Society recognized a record total of 2,596 players from 365 colleges and universities at all levels of college football on the 2026 team.
