PITTSBURGH – The Slippery Rock University women's tennis team continued the individual portion of its 2025-26 season Saturday with its annual trip to the Carnegie Mellon Invitational.

Slippery Rock faced solid competition at the CMU Invite as members of The Rock's roster squared off against athletes from Division I Duquesne University and host Carnegie Mellon University – one of the top Division III team in the nation.

In doubles competition, The Rock's top pairings of Alissia Kivi and Nicole Kempton as well as Dari Sakhanova and Nadia Rodewald were both a perfect 2-0 as the duos defeated both their Division I counterparts and their host CMU opponents.

The singles portion of the invitational was highlighted by with wins by Sakhanova, Kivi, Kempton and Amaia Balaguer Brau.

Selected members of the SRU women's tennis roster will next compete at the ITA Atlantic Region Championships Oct. 2-5 in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. Following the regional championships, Slippery Rock will host Bowling Green University for a home dual match on Oct. 11.
