LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's tennis team continued its strong start to the 2025-26 season with another great performance at the Bucknell University Invitational.
 
Slippery Rock joined fellow Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference members Indiana University (Pa.) and Millersville University as well as Division I schools Lafayette College, Saint Francis University and host Bucknell at the two-day event.
 
Much like last week's Husky Invitational, the Bucknell Invitational was split into several brackets. Singles brackets this weekend included "Orange", "Maroon", "Green" and "Gold" while the doubles matches were contested in the "Bison", "Hawks", "Rocky" and "Flash" draws.
 
Collectively, members of The Rock's roster went 12-4 in their matches against Division I opponents (Singles + Doubles).
 
Every Rock athlete to play a singles match at the Bucknell Invitational earned at least one win, led by a perfect 3-0 showing over the weekend by Alissia Kivi. Nicole Kempton also sported a perfect 2-0 record while Amaia Balaguer Brau and Dari Sakhanova were both 2-1.
 
Slippery Rock's doubles entries featured a pair of perfect pairings as Amaia Balaguer Brau / Tina Slovak and Dari Sakhanova / Nadia Rodewald were both 3-0.
