LOCK HAVEN, Pa. -
Slippery Rock University redshirt junior guard Jomo Goings earned a spot on the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division team, the conference office announced Thursday with the unveiling of its men's basketball awards.

Goings was named a first team All-PSAC West performer following a career year in 2024-25. After earning second team All-PSAC West honors a season ago, Goings now joins Maron Brown, Jabril Bailey, Jerome Davis, Devin Taylor and Micah Till as Rock athletes to earn all-conference recognition in back-to-back seasons since 2000.

A starter in 22 of his 25 games played, Goings closed his 2024-25 season averaging 17.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 2.4 steals and 0.8 blocks per game while shooting 46.8 percent from the field and 83.4 percent at the foul line.

The Washington, D.C. native scored at least 20 points in a game on 10 occasions all the while posting four double-doubles and tallying at least one steal in all but one contest. Goings' 61 steals this year is the seventh-highest total in single-season program history while his 126 made free throws ranked 15th.

Inside the PSAC, Goings ranks in the top 20 in a plethora of statistical categories. He's second in steals per game, seventh in scoring, seventh in free throw percentage, 15th in field goal percentage, 16th in assists, 17th in rebounding and 17th in blocks.

Over the course of the regular season Goings was named the PSAC West Athlete of the Week on three occasions.

One of the top all-around guards in the nation, Goings is currently the only athlete in Division II to average at least 17 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game and shoot at least 80 percent at the foul line.

With one season of eligibility remaining, Goings already ranks eighth in program history for career steals (135), 11th in made 3-pointers (99), 13th in made free throws (248), 16th in points (1,107), 18th in blocks (53) and 22nd in assists (177).

Elsewhere across the division, California's Donald Whitehead Jr. was voted the PSAC West Athlete of the Year while Kymani Merraro of Indiana (Pa.) earned PSAC West Freshman of the Year honors. Edinboro claimed the other two major awards as Cenker Evran was tabbed the PSAC West Defensive Player of the Year while Justin Jennings garnered Coach of the Year accolades.

The All-PSAC West Team and individual award winners are nominated for, voted on and selected by the division's coaches.

Slippery Rock recently concluded its 2024-25 season with a 15-14 overall record that included an 11-9 mark in PSAC competition. The Rock qualified for the PSAC Tournament as the No. 4 seed in the Western Division.
