PSAC TOURNAMENT SETUP
• The top six teams in the Western Division and Eastern Division standings at the end of the regular season qualified for the PSAC Tournament with the top two seeds in each division receiving first-round byes.

• First Round: The No. 3 and No. 4 teams in both divisions earned the right to host opening-round games against the sixth and fifth seeds, respectively, from their own divisions on Monday.

• Quarterfinals: On Wednesday the quarterfinal round will be contested with the winner of the No. 3/No. 6 game playing at the second seed of the opposite division and the winner of the No. 5/No. 4 game playing at the top seed of the opposite division. The winner of Monday's game between Slippery Rock and Seton Hill will play at Millersville.

• The highest remaining seed from the Western Division after the quarterfinal round will host the semifinals and championship rounds this season.

• Semifinals: Advancing teams will face teams from the opposite division in the semifinal round which will be held Saturday. The highest remaining seed from the host division will play the lowest remaining seed from the opposite division.

• Finals: The 2026 PSAC Tournament championship game will be held Sunday.

WHO'S IN
• PSAC West: Gannon and California (Pa.) are seeded first and second followed by No. 3 Indiana (Pa.), No. 4 Seton Hill, No. 5 Slippery Rock and No. 6 Edinboro.

• PSAC East: Millersville and West Chester locked up the top two seeds in the Eastern Division followed by No. 3 Shepherd, No. 4 East Stroudsburg, No. 5 Shippensburg and No. 6 Lock Haven.

HOW THEY GOT HERE
• Slippery Rock has had an up-and-down season. The Rock started 2025-26 winning 13 of their first 16 games before dropping eight of the next 10 contests only to stabilize with back-to-back victories at the conclusion of the regular season.

• In similar fashion to The Rock, Seton Hill also started hot at 12-2 before losing 10 of its next 11. Also like SRU, the Griffins finished the regular season with momentum in the form of three consecutive wins.

THE PAST DOES NOT DICTATE THE FUTURE
Traditionally speaking, earning the right to host a first-round game in the PSAC Tournament has proven critical for a team's chances of advancing to the quarterfinals. Since the implementation of the conference's current tournament format in 2012-13, the third and fourth seeds in the Western Division and Eastern Division hold a combined record of 41-7 in the first-round games.

However, last year the Western Division portion of the opening-round was ripe with upsets as sixth-seeded Seton Hill beat third-seed Edinboro and fifth-seeded IUP narrowly defeated a short-handed fourth-seeded Slippery Rock team.

ROCK PSAC TOURNAMENT HISTORY
Slippery Rock will be making its 15th postseason appearance in the last 17 years and its 28th appearance in the PSAC Tournament all-time.

• SRU has now clinched a PSAC Tournament bid for nine consecutive seasons. Seven of those appearances have come under the guidance of head coach Ian Grady, who is the only active coach in the conference to have led his team to the PSAC Tournament in each of the first seven years in charge of their respective programs.

• The Rock men's basketball program has compiled an overall record of 21-27 in PSAC Tournament games. SRU has played in eight PSAC Tournament championship games with the program's lone title coming in 1962-63.

• A win against Seton Hill would give SRU first-round victories in two of the last three seasons. Slippery Rock last advanced to the PSAC Tournament semifinals in 2012-13.

LAST TIME OUT
• Slippery Rock led for over 38 minutes as part of an 81-64 road victory over California (Pa.), while a last-second 3-pointer by Dean Simos lifted Seton Hill to an 89-86 win against Edinboro.

• Both wins were paramount to setting up Monday's PSAC Tournament matchup as SRU needed to beat California to earn the fifth seed and SHU had to defeat Edinboro to lock down the fourth seed.

RECORDS
Slippery Rock's late season run improved its record to 17-11 overall and 10-10 inside the PSAC. With three straight wins to end the regular season, Seton Hill brings a 16-12 overall record and a 10-10 conference mark into the postseason.

CALIFORNIA RECAP (Box Score)
Slippery Rock ended its regular season schedule on a high note Saturday courtesy of an impressive 81-64 road victory at California (Pa.).

The Rock's victory over California snapped a five-game winning streak for the Vulcans over SRU and also marked Slippery Rock's first victory at Cal since 2022. SRU picked up the elusive road victory inside the Convocation Center in convincing fashion as it led for nearly the entire game (38:40).

Collectively, Slippery Rock shot 48.4 percent (31-of-64) from the field overall, despite making just 5-of-17 3-point attempts (.294). SRU was 14-of-24 (.583) at the foul line.

The Rock dominated the glass in the form of a +18 (52-34) rebounding margin. SRU's 15 offensive rebounds resulted in 17 second chance points.

Defensively, The Rock limited the Vulcans to a .371 field goal percentage (23-for-62) as well as a .222 3-point field goal percentage (4-of-18).

Slippery Rock enters the PSAC Tournament already assured of ending the year with a winning record for the 16th time in the last 18 years dating back to the 2008-09 season with 15 postseason berths occurring over that stretch.

Across the 17-team Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, only Indiana (Pa.) and East Stroudsburg have produced more winning campaigns than The Rock over the last 18 seasons.

THREE-PRONGED ATTACK INSIDE
A key factor in The Rock's recent string of wins has been the play of the forward trio of Kerwin Prince, Elijah Hill and Isaac James. Together the trio accounts for 32.8 points and 22.0 rebounds per game.

• Kerwin Prince: A starter in 13 of his 22 games played for The Rock, Prince averages 11.7 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game in addition to shooting 59.1 percent from the floor. Prince, who ranks fifth in the PSAC in offensive rebounding (3.1) and sixth in total rebounding, has reached double figure point totals in six of the last seven games.

• Elijah Hill: Fresh off an 18-point, 11-rebound double-double against California (his fourth in 18 collegiate games) Hill shoots 61.3 percent from the floor while going for 10.4 points and 6.4 rebounds a game. While not a high-volume 3-point shooter, Hill can convert from deep when needed as evidenced by his 11 makes in 20 attempts on the year (.550).

• Isaac James: Like Hill, James garnered a double-double against California with 17 points and 10 rebounds to up his season averages to 10.7 ppg and 7.1 rpg. Another sound shooter, James has hit 48.7 percent of his field goal attempts and is 37.1 percent (13-for-35) from distance. James has also provides SRU with the consistency of being available for all 28 games in 2025-26.

LITTLEJOHN EARNING PROMOTION
The first two starts of Braylon Littlejohn's career could not have gone much better. SRU earned two wins and Littlejohn was a linchpin to the team's success with 30 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and six steals over the two games.

MAYO SCORES 300th POINT
Freshman guard Brady Mayo continued his string of consistent offensive performances Saturday with 12 points for what was his 16th double-digit scoring output of the year (and ninth in the last 11 games).

Mayo, who has played in all 28 games while making 20 starts on the way to averaging 10.7 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.2 steals per game, has scored 300 points as a rookie. He is one of just seven freshmen in program history to reach 300 points in his rookie year.

A near automatic free throw shooter, Mayo's .859 foul shot percentage ranks third in the PSAC this year and his the fourth highest single-season percentage in program history.

Top Single-Season FT% at SRU (Min. 75 Attempts)

GRIGGS PROVIDING EXPERIENCED MINUTES
With The Rock's starting backcourt of late consisting of the youthful duo of Brady Mayo (true freshman) and Braylon Littlejohn (redshirt freshman), redshirt junior guard Alex Griggs has provided invaluable minutes as the first guard off the bench. He grabbed five rebounds and distributed one assist in SRU's win against Edinboro before connecting on a pair of 3-pointers as part of a six-point, five-rebound showing in the road win at California in which he played a career-high 21 minutes.

STAUNCH REACHES CAREER-HIGH
Veteran reserve forward Mack Staunch has grabbed 52 rebounds this season, including a career-best 30 on the offensive glass. Staunch has also played in a career-high 28 games this year and is one of just three Rock athletes to not miss a game in 2025-26.

GOOD STARTS LEAD TO GREAT RESULTS
Slippery Rock is a perfect 17-0 in 2025-26 when holding a lead or being tied at halftime, but 0-11 when trailing after 20 minutes.

WIN THE GLASS, WIN THE GAME
Slippery Rock is 16-2 when holding a positive rebounding margin in games this season. SRU is ranked third in the PSAC in total rebounding (40.0) and fifth in rebounding margin (+4.6). The Rock are also fourth in the PSAC in offensive rebounding (13.5). Slippery Rock dominated the glass against California, finishing +18 (52-34).

KEEP IT UNDER 80
Slippery Rock is a near perfect 16-1 when holding opponents to under 80 points, but just 1-10 in high-scoring (80+) contests. The lone game SRU has lost when its opponent failed to reach 80 points was a 67-59 setback to Seton Hill on Feb. 21. Seton Hill has been held under 80 points in 12 games this season, going just 3-9 in such contests.

HISTORIC 3-POINT DEFENSE
Slippery Rock enters Monday's game ranked seventh in the nation in 3-point field goal percentage defense as team's are shooting just 28.5 percent from long range against The Rock and averaging just 6.8 made 3-pointers per game.

Only one other SRU team has finished the year with a better opponent 3-point shooting percentage than the 2025-26 team since the advent of the 3-pointer by the NCAA: opponents shot just 28.1 percent against SRU's 2011-12 team.

The Griffins, which rank fourth in the PSAC in 3-point field goal percentage (.356) and sixth in 3-pointers made per game (8.0), went 10-for-26 (.385) from deep against SRU in its Jan. 17 win at Seton Hill, but just 7-of-26 (.269) in the most recent meeting between the two on Feb. 21.

MISSES BECOME MAKES
Slippery Rock has logged double-digit second chance point totals in 22 of 28 games this season. SRU is currently averaging 13.7 second chance points per game this season, well up from its 2024-25 average of 11.7.

SRU is 14-5 when earning 11 or more second chance points in a game, but just 3-6 when closing a contest with 10 or less. The Rock had 17 second chance points in the California win. SRU compiled 21 total second chance points in two games against Seton Hill in the regular season (8/13).

DEFENSE CREATES OFFENSE
Through 28 games, SRU is scoring 14.6 points off turnovers per game, which if maintained through the end of the season would represent the fifth highest such average inside the program over the last 12 years. Slippery Rock had 11 points off 10 California turnovers Saturday.

Slippery Rock has averaged 16.7 points off turnovers per game in its 16 wins this year, up from 11.5 in its 11 losses.

On average, Seton Hill does provide its opposition with a decent amount of chance to score off miscues as the Griffins rank eighth in the PSAC in turnovers at 13.2 per game. Seton Hill committed just 26 turnovers over two games in the regular season series against Slippery Rock.
