WEST LIBERTY, W. Va. – The Slippery Rock University women's track & field team recorded 16 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference qualifying marks and won seven events at the Tim Weaver Invitational hosted by West Liberty University.

The Rock won four field events and three events on the track with freshman sprinter
Jianna Long picking up a pair of wins to lead the way. She took the top spot in the 400-meter dash in 57.53 seconds and also won the 200-meter dash in 25.45 seconds, hitting the PSAC standard in both events. She then closed out her day with a third win when she joined with
Shannon McCullough,
Annasophia Stauffer and
Lydia Reed to win the 4x400-meter relay in 4:10.39.
SRU also tallied a pair of PSAC marks in the distance races to close out the top performances on the track.
Jennifer Cichra took third in the 800-meter run in 2:20.75 and
Morgan Dennison was second in the steeplechase in 11:50.95.

The Rock won three of the four jumping events with
Paige Griffith taking the top spot in the high jump with a clearance of 1.62 meters and
Allie Taylor finishing first in the pole vault with a mark of 3.50 meters.
Aleks Brozeski led a 1-2-3 sweep in the triple jump with a win and a leap of 11.26 meters.
Autumn Wyatt was second at 11.18 meters and
Baylee Blauser was third at 11.17 meters. Blauser also took second in the long jump with a leap of 5.71 meters with Brozeski also hitting the PSAC standard in fourth with a jump of 5.46 meters.

Sarah Corrie returned to action for the first time since last spring and won the shot put with a toss of 12.87 meters.
Becca Martin was second at 12.56 meters and
Olivia Heckman was fourth at 12.35 meters to give SRU three women with the PSAC mark in the shot put.
Autumn Stewart took fourth in the hammer with a throw of 46.04 meters and
Sydney Hale was third in the discus with a throw of 37.58 meters to cap the qualifying marks in the throws.

Maddy Miller led a trio of SRU multi-event athletes to top 10 finishes with a fourth place showing in the heptathlon with a score of 3,538 points.
Leighanne Swan was seventh with 3,227 points and
Autumn Wyatt was eighth with 3,080 points.

Slippery Rock will now shift its focus to the first home meet of the season as The Rock will host the Dave Labor Invitational next Friday and Saturday.
