Street accepts position at Carnegie Mellon

Erin Street, acting head coach of the Slippery Rock volleyball team, has announced she will depart SRU to join the Carnegie Mellon volleyball coaching staff.

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Slippery Rock University acting head volleyball coach Erin Street has announced she will step down from her position at SRU to accept an assistant coaching position on the Carnegie Mellon University volleyball coaching staff.

Street will begin her new role at Carnegie Mellon in early April. She served as the acting head coach for The Rock's 2024 season, guiding SRU to a 12-14 overall record and a 5-9 mark in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division.

Street was an assistant coach at Slippery Rock for a total of 15 seasons. During her time at The Rock, she helped coach SRU to four NCAA Tournament appearances, 201 wins and 11 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Awards.

Individually, Street helped mentor 16 AVCA All-Atlantic Region honorees and 16 All-PSAC West selections.

Between two separate stints as Slippery Rock's lead assistant, Street served as the head coach at Grove City College for four seasons (2014-17), where she led the Wolverines to 49 wins.

A national search for the next leader of the Slippery Rock volleyball program is currently underway and the 12th head coach in the program's 55-year history is expected to be announced soon.
