SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- The nationally ranked Slippery Rock University football program has announced it will host six different camps this summer with camps for boys and girls in elementary school through high school.
 
2025 ROCK FOOTBALL CAMPS
• Youth Camp – Saturday, May 3
• Prospect Camp #1 – Sunday, May 4
• Girls Flag Football Camp – Friday, June 13
• Prospect Camp #2 – Tuesday, June 17
• 7-on-7 Passing Competition – Wednesday, June 18
• Brandon Fusco Big Man Camp – Thursday, June 26
 
"We have seen some tremendous high school talent come through our prospect camps in recent years and we wanted to expand our offerings this year and help continue to grow the sport here in western Pennsylvania, said head coach Shawn Lutz. "We are excited to welcome back our former NFL offensive lineman Brandon Fusco to host a camp specifically for offensive linemen and we are thrilled to add camps for youth players and girls flag football players, as well as a seven-on-seven passing competition."
 
Each of the six camps will be one-day camps and will take place at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium on the Slippery Rock campus. The Slippery Rock coaching staff and members of the current team will run all camps. The girls flag football camp will also be assisted by members of the Pittsburgh Passion professional women's team.

ABOUT THE ROCK FOOTBALL PROGRAM
Slippery Rock won the 2024 NCAA Division II Super Region One title and reached the national semifinals before finishing the year ranked No. 3 in the final national rankings. The Rock have been ranked in every national poll since the final poll of 2018 and own the second longest active playoff streak in the country with six straight trips to the national playoffs. SRU has put together 15 straight winning seasons, which ranks as the ninth-longest active streak among all NCAA Division II programs entering the 2025 season.
 
2025 ROCK FOOTBALL YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMP

Date: Saturday, May 3rd
Time: 12:30–3 p.m.
Check-In: 11:30 a.m.–12:15 p.m.
Location: Milhalik-Thompson Stadium
For Ages: Youth entering grades 1-8 in the fall
Description: This camp is designed for development of football skills for youth and will have specific emphasis on throwing, route running and catching, speed and agility stations and overall position specific drill work facilitated by Slippery Rock coaches and players. All campers will receive a Slippery Rock football t-shirt

2025 ROCK FOOTBALL RELENTLESS PROSPECT CAMP #1
Registration: CAMP REGISTRATION SITE
Date: Sunday, May 4th
Time: 2–5 p.m.
Check-In/Testing: 12:30–2 p.m.
Location: Milhalik-Thompson Stadium
For Ages: All Players entering grades 9-12 in the fall (JUCO also welcome)
Description: Showcase your abilities and get evaluated by the Slippery Rock coaching staff! You will learn how to play your position with emphasis on technique and fundamentals while competing against some of the top talent in the area. Event will consist of athletic testing, agility stations, speed and power testing, position specific drills and one-on-ones. This is an unpadded camp. Only cleats are required! Registration in advance is preferred, but walk-ups will be welcomed. All campers will receive a Slippery Rock football t-shirt.

2025 "FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS" GIRLS FLAG FOOTBALL CAMP
Registration: CAMP REGISTRATION SITE
Date: Friday, June 13th   
Time: 5:30–8:30 p.m.
Check-In/Testing: 4:30–5:30 p.m.
Location: Milhalik-Thompson Stadium
For Ages: Girls entering grades 5-8 and 9-12 in the fall
Description: Showcase your abilities and learn to play your position with emphasis on technique and fundamentals while competing against some of the top talent in the area. Event will consist of athletic testing, agility stations, speed and power testing, position specific drill-work related to flag football and one-on-ones. Camp will be facilitated by Slippery Rock coaches and members of the Pittsburgh Passion flag football pro team. Participants will be assembled into teams and the clinic will wrap up with competitive play. All campers will receive a Slippery Rock football t-shirt. Only cleats, mouthpiece and flags are required.

Date: Tuesday, June 17th 
Time: 5–8 p.m.
Check-In/Testing: 3:30–5 p.m.
Location: Milhalik-Thompson Stadium
For Ages: All players entering grades 9-12 in the fall (JUCO also welcome)
Description: Showcase your abilities and get evaluated by the Slippery Rock coaching staff! You will learn how to play your position with emphasis on technique and fundamentals while competing against some of the top talent in the area. 2025: THE ROCK 7-ON-7 PASSING COMPETITION
Registration: CAMP REGISTRATION SITE
Date: Wednesday, June 18th 
Time: 12:30–3 p.m.
Check-In: 11–11:30 a.m.
Coaches Meeting: 11:45 a.m.
Location: Milhalik-Thompson Stadium
For Ages: All Players entering grades 9-12 in the fall (JUCO also welcome)
Description: This is a passing camp for entire high school teams to compete and receive instruction against each other in 7-on-7 games. There will be a round-robin format before beginning playoffs. Space is limited, so please sign up early. Standard 7-on-7 rules and format will be followed. All campers will receive a Slippery Rock football t-shirt.

2025 BRANDON FUSCO BIG MAN CAMP
Registration: CAMP REGISTRATION SITE
Date: Thursday, June 26th
Time: 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
Check-In: 8:45–9:30 a.m.
Location: Milhalik-Thompson Stadium
For Ages: All Players entering Grades 9-12 in Fall 2025 (JUCO Welcome)
Description: Linemen from your team will compete and receive instruction from Rock legend Brandon Fusco and other members of the Slippery Rock coaching staff. Fusco was a first team All-American, the 2010 National Lineman of the Year and an NFL Draft pick with the Minnesota Vikings. He played nine seasons in the NFL with the Vikings, 49ers and Falcons. There will be extra emphasis on technique and fundamentals as it relates to line play while competing against linemen from other schools in a variety of competitions that challenge strength, endurance and teamwork. All campers will receive a Slippery Rock football t-shirt.
