The Slippery Rock men’s soccer team fell to Seton Hill on Senior Day, 3-0, Saturday at James Egli Field.

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University men's soccer team fell to Seton Hill University on Senior Day, 3-0, Saturday at James Egli Field.

With the loss, Slippery Rock drops to 6-6-2 overall and 3-3-1 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division, while Seton Hill's record improved to 8-5-1 overall and 4-2-1 in the PSAC West.

In other games around the PSAC West, Lock Haven University took down California (Pa.), 3-1, propelling the Bald Eagles into third place in the division standings and dropping SRU to fourth place. This is crucial as only three teams in each division make the PSAC Tournament. With three games remaining in the regular season, Slippery Rock sits two points behind Lock Haven and three points in back of second-place Seton Hill.

Zsombor Retfalvi and Kaden Reynolds led The Rock with two shots each. Massimo Cuda, Thomas Uckert and Gabin Lonjard rounded out SRU's shot takers with one shot apiece.

Alvey Kaufman made a career-high seven saves in goal for Slippery Rock.

The two teams went into halftime tied 0-0, but one goal from Rowan Aisenbrey and a brace from Esteban Moreira in the second half propelled the Griffins to a 3-0 win.

Seton Hill finished the game with a 18-7 advantage in shots and 10-3 in shots on goal.

Slippery Rock travels north to take on Gannon University 6 p.m. Oct. 29. Earlier this season, Gannon claimed a 4-0 win over The Rock at Egli Field.
