Slippery Rock rolled to its third straight shutout victory, 2-0, over Pitt-Johnstown Saturday behind
Kaden Reynolds' second consecutive brace.
Cornelis Dedecker grabbed one assist in the victory.

Pitt-Johnstown finished the game with a 13-6 advantage in shots, but SRU had a 4-3 edge in shots on goal, closing out Slippery Rock's third consecutive shutout victory.
SHUTDOWN DEFENSE
The Slippery Rock defense has shut the door on its opponents in its last three games with three consecutive shutouts against California (Pa.), Daemen and Pitt-Johnstown. The last time SRU had three consecutive shutouts was when it earned three 1-0 wins over Mercyhurst University, Seton Hill University and California in 2019. The Rock will be going for four clean sheets in a row for the first time since 2015, a season where SRU won its most recent PSAC Championship.

Slippery Rock finished the first cycle of PSAC West play with a 3-2-0 record and a +1 goal differential. Since 2019, when the PSAC split into two divisions, Slippery Rock has gone 13-15-2 with a -7 goal differential in the first round of PSAC action. In that time frame, SRU is 10-13-2 overall with a -2 goal differential.
STANDINGS CHECK
The match against Lock Haven marks the first game of the second cycle of round-robin play in the PSAC West. Slippery Rock sits in third place in the division with nine points, but just two points behind Gannon University for first place in the division. The Rock's position in the standings is important as the top three teams in each division make the PSAC Tournament at the end of the regular season. Lock Haven sits in fourth place in the PSAC West with eight points, just one spot behind Slippery Rock in the division standings.

Aitor Jorde scored four games in a row against Seton Hill University, California, Pitt-Johnstown and Gannon . The last time a Slippery Rock player scored five straight goals for the team was in 2009, when Jeremy Deighton scored five straight goals against Lock Haven, California and West Chester University.

Reynolds has paced The Rock offense with 17 points and eight goals. Dedecker and
Zsombor Retfalvi trail the forward with seven and eight points respectively.
Retfalvi, Irani and
Gabin Lonjard trail Reynolds for the Slippery Rock goal lead with two each. Dedecker, Pandher and

Dedecker leads all SRU players with five assists each, while Retfalvi trails the forward by one helper. Pandher and

Pandher ranks fifth in the PSAC in shot accuracy with a .542 mark and ninth in the conference with 1.18 shots on goal per game.
Reynolds leads conference with three game-winning goals, while Irani sits fourth in that category with two game-winners.
