JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University men's soccer team rolled to its third straight shutout victory, 2-0, over Pitt-Johnstown Saturday behind
Kaden Reynolds' second consecutive brace.
With the win, Slippery Rock improves to 6-5-1 overall and 3-2-0 in the Pennsylvania State Athleitc Conference Western Division, while Pitt-Johnstown's record drops to 6-4-1 overall and 1-3-1 in the PSAC West.
Reynolds bagged two more goals for The Rock, upping his season total to a team-leading eight goals. This match was the second in a row that saw Reynolds score twice.
Cornelis Dedecker grabbed one assist, his team-leading fifth helper on the season.

Aashi Pandher and
Jimmy Irani registered two shots each for SRU. Reynolds topped Slippery Rock with two shots on goal.
Alvey Kaufman started in goal and recorded three saves in his shutout effort.
Reynolds caused a turnover on the right wing taking, the ball away from the defender. He proceeded to dribble through the middle of the field and placed a shot with his left foot past the diving goalkeeper, giving SRU a 1-0 lead in the 27
th minute.
Slippery Rock entered halftime with a 5-1 edge in shots and 3-0 in shots on goal.
Reynolds doubled Slippery Rock's advantage in the 47
th minute. Almost a carbon copy of his first goal of the game, Reynolds caused a turnover on the right wing and dribbled past defenders before fooling the goalkeeper and slotting the ball into the bottom left corner, to give SRU a 2-0 lead that it would not relinquish.
Pitt-Johnstown finished the game with a 13-6 advantage in shots, but SRU had a 4-3 edge in shots on goal, closing out Slippery Rock's third consecutive shutout victory.
Slippery Rock kicks off the second cycle of PSAC West play 6 p.m. Oct. 22 at Lock Haven University.
