JayJay Jordan was named the Western Division Offensive Athlete of the Week when the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced its weekly football awards Monday.

Jordan, a junior from Reading, Pennsylvania, picks up his first weekly honor of the season after leading the PSAC In rushing all year.

The award recognizes his performance in The Rock's 49-7 win on the road at Seton Hill Saturday, where he rushed for 189 yards and one touchdown on just 13 carries, averaging 14.5 yards per carry. It marked the fifth time in six games this season that Jordan has topped 100 rushing yards in a game.

Through six games, Jordan leads all players in the PSAC in every rushing statistic and all-purpose yardage with his 892 rushing yards, 138 receiving yards and 198 kickoff return yards stacking up to 1,228 all-purpose yards.

Jordan ranks. No. 2 among all players in Division II this year in all-purpose yards per game (204.7) and rushing yards per carry (9.2) while ranking No. 3 nationally in both total rushing yards (892) and rushing yards per game (148.7).

Slippery Rock will look to carry momentum from Saturday's win into this week's Homecoming showing with PSAC West leader Indiana (Pa.), which is set for a 1 p.m. kickoff Saturday at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium.
