LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Slippery Rock University women's track & field team recorded 23 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference qualifying marks, two NCAA provisional marks and won three events at the Dr. Jack M. Toms Invitational that wrapped up Saturday night from the University of Lynchburg.

The headliners for Slippery Rock included
Anna Igims with a win and an NCAA provisional mark in the steeplechase,
Isabella Bartoletti with an NCAA provisional and career-best in the javelin,
Tiffany Jolayemi with a win in the hammer throw and
Olivia Heckman with a win in the shot put.

Igims ran a pair of races over the weekend, first posting a PSAC qualifying mark in the 1,500-meter run with a seventh place finish in the invite section Friday night with a time of 4:37.71. She came back Saturday and won the 3,000-meter steeplechase by a wide margin with an NCAA provisional time of 10:45.89. That mark currently ranks No. 3 in Division II this spring. She was joined in hitting the PSAC standard in the steeplechase by
Marie Scarpa, who took sixth in 12:18.73.

Bartoletti took second in the javelin with an NCAA provisional mark and career-best throw of 42.57 meters, topping her former career-best of 40.39 meters that was set last week. Her mark currently ranks No. 13 among all throwers in Division II this spring.

Heckman won the shot put with a career-best throw of 13.77 meters to lead Slippery Rock to a 1-2-3 sweep in the event.
Savannah Schneck was second with a throw of 12.76 meters and
Becca Martin was third with a toss of 12.25 meters.

Jolayemi rounded out the six PSAC marks in the throws with a win in the hammer with a throw of 49.43 meters.

Slippery Rock tallied five PSAC marks in the jumps with two in the long jump, two in the pole vault and one in the triple jump.
Aleks Brozeski took third in the long jump with a leap of 5.66 meters and
Samantha Gilbert took fifth with a mark of 5.47 meters.
Allie Taylor was fourth in the pole vault with a clearance of 3.35 meters with
Hanna Zeiler placing sixth with the same mark of 3.35 meters.
Baylee Blauser capped the top efforts in the jumps with a sixth place finish in the triple jump with a leap of 11.02 meters.

Gilbert also hit the PSAC standard in both the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes and ran a leg of the runner-up 4x100-meter relay. She was second in the 200m in 25.59 seconds and took fifth in the 100m in 12.49 seconds.
Regan Johnson was third in the 100m in 12.35 seconds and was fourth in the 200m in 25.89 seconds. They teamed with
Layne Miller and
Thai-Lin Pierce to take second in the 4x100m in 47.19 seconds.

SRU also got a pair of PSAC marks in the 400-meter dash from
Lydia Reed in seventh in 59.60 seconds and
Shannon McCullough in eighth in 59.85 seconds. They teamed with
Annasophia Stauffer and
Rachel Veneziano to finish third in the 4x400-meter relay in 4:17.20.

Veneziano also hit the PSAC mark in the 400-meter hurdles with a third place finish in 1:05.81.
Chaley Younkin and
Chalondra Clarke led the way in the 100-meter hurdles with Younkin finishing eighth in 15.63 seconds and Clarke taking ninth in 15.72 seconds to round out the PSAC qualifying marks from the weekend.
