THE MAGIC OF MORROW
Few teams in the Atlantic Region dominate at home like Slippery Rock does at Morrow Field House. Since 2008-09, Slippery Rock is an outstanding 153-45 (.773) at home including a 10-1 record this season.

ROCK WINS vs. RANKED FOES AT MORROW FIELD HOUSE
Slippery Rock has won 11 games against ranked opponents all-time at Morrow Field House with its most recent upset of a top-25 team at home coming Jan. 12, 2019 in a 74-69 victory over third-ranked IUP. Slippery Rock is a respectable 5-8 vs. ranked teams at Morrow Field House over the last 18 years with three of the wins coming against IUP.

GOING AGAINST NO. 1
Wednesday's game will mark the sixth documented contest in program history in which Slippery Rock has played a team ranked first in the nation and the first time since losing in the NCAA Tournament to West Liberty at the end of the 2010-11 season.

BLOCK PARTY
A highlight of The Rock's double overtime game against Lock Haven was the team's 14 blocks. In addition to being tied for the second most blocks in a game across the entire NCAA this year, regardless of division, the 14 rejections were also the most by a Slippery Rock team over the last 23 seasons.

LINDSEY RACKS UP BIG STATS ON D
Leading SRU's interior defensive efforts against Lock Haven was Lashon Lindsey, who closed the game with six blocks, four steals and eight rebounds on the defensive glass. His six rejections were the fifth-highest block total in a single-game at The Rock all-time. Additionally, the six blocks ranked third in Morrow Field House single-game history.

Lindsey, who ranks 11th in program history in career blocks with 70, has produced 13 of his 20 blocks in 2022-23 in the last six games. He is tied with Khalid Gates for the team lead in rejections.

BRITT CLOSING IN ON 1,000 POINTS
After scoring 17 points against Lock Haven, Britt has now scored 943 points during his Slippery Rock career, 57 shy of becoming the 24th 1,000-point scorer in program history.

When Britt does score his 1,000th point he will become just the third Rock player to hit the career milestone in the last 12 years along with Micah Till (1,493 / 2017-20) and Devin Taylor (1,143 / 2010-13).

One of the best point guards in program history, Britt already ranks second at SRU in career starts, fourth in assists, fifth in minutes played, seventh in steals, seventh in games played and ninth in made 3-pointers.

As a senior, Britt is averaging 14.9 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.7 steals per game while making 32 3-pointers.

THE ROCK'S DO-IT-ALL FORWARDS
Gates' versatility was on full display in the Lock Haven game as SRU's junior forward went for 25 points, nine rebounds, three assists, three blocks and three steals.

Gates, who was a junior college All-American at Cecil a year ago, has been as good as advertised in his first season with The Rock as he has produced per game averages of 15.4 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.1 blocks while shooting 53.8 percent from the field. Through 18 games, Gates has been held under 10 points just twice.

Just as versatile as Gates is teammate Jonathan McFall, who has provided The Rock with 12.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game while shooting 48.8 percent from the field overall, 38 percent from deep and 83.6 percent at the foul line.

McFall has totaled 11 steals and six blocks in the last seven games while scoring 14 ppg over that time.

DUNK CITY
The great athleticism of Slippery Rock's 2022-23 roster has resulted in 41 dunks this season while allowing only 18. While an unofficial stat, this year's team has already recorded one of the highest dunk totals by a Rock team in years.

Rock Dunk Leaders
1. Khalid Gates: 19
2. Jonathan McFall: 9
3. Ahmad Galimore: 7
4. Jomo Goings: 3
5. Lashon Lindsey: 2
6. Bobby Clifford: 1

GLASS CLEANERS
A staple of every Rock team over the last decade has been its rebounding superiority. This year is no different as SRU enters the IUP game ranked third in the PSAC in total rebounding (38.6), second in offensive rebounding (12.6) and third in rebounding margin (+3.6). SRU is 10-2 when finishing with more rebounds than its opponents this year.

The Rock's rebounding efforts are led by Khalid Gates (6.8), Lashon Lindsey (6.5), Ahmad Galimore (4.9), Jonathan McFall (4.3) and Bobby Clifford (3.9).

GUARDING THE 3
Opponents are averaging just 5.8 made 3-pointers a game on a scant .285 percentage in The Rock's 12 wins this year. However, those numbers balloon to an average of 8.2 made 3-pointers at a .402 percentage in SRU's four losses.

ROUNDING OUT THE ATTACK
Joining Gates, Britt, McFall and Lindsey in The Rock's primary rotation are  Galimore, Bobby Clifford, Dylan Ahearn, Nik Cazacu, Alex Griggs and Jomo Goings.

Clifford has started all 18 games, who scores 6.2 ppg along with 3.9 rpg, has made two of his last three 3-point attempts. Often SRU's first guard off the bench, Goings averages 7.8 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game in his second collegiate season.

Another of the many athletic swingmen on the roster, Galimore has proven adept at doing a bit of everything for SRU with per game averages of 4.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.0 steals. He has 11 offensive rebounds in the last five games.

Griggs has played in every game as a rookie. The freshman reserve point guard has five multi-steal games this season. Nik Cazacu has used his athleticism to grab five offensive rebounds in his last 15 minutes of playing time.

Ahearn rounds out the group, playing just over 10 minutes per game while scoring 2.3 ppg.

BENCH SCORING KEY FOR SRU
SRU has been able to count on its bench to provide a scoring spark. Over the first 18 games, The Rock's bench has out-scored their counterparts 12 times. All told, SRU reserves average 20.3 points per game.
