Chris D'Or and Kyle Butts earned PSAC West Athlete of the Week awards from the league office for their performances in the win over Edinboro.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Slippery Rock University running back Chris D'Or and punter Kyle Butts picked up weekly awards from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference in an announcement from the league office Monday.

D'Or was named the PSAC West Offensive Athlete of the Week and Butts was named the PSAC West Special Teams Athlete of the Week for their performances in The Rock's 28-21 win over Edinboro Saturday.

D'Or, a sophomore from Greenacres, Florida, earns his second PSAC weekly honor this fall after rushing for 103 yards and two touchdowns to go along with three catches for 19 yards. He averaged 5.7 yards per carry on his way to his fifth 100-yard game of the season, marking the most 100-yard games by an SRU running back since Wes Hills topped the century mark eight times in 2018.

Through 10 weeks this fall, D'Or leads SRU with 718 rushing yards and seven touchdowns, averaging 5.7 yards per carry and 71.8 yards per game. He also has 20 catches for 144 yards for 874 all-purpose yards on the season.

Butts, a senior from Clarksville, Maryland, earns his first PSAC weekly award after averaging 41.0 yards per punt on six punts Saturday. He boomed a season-long 69-yard punt and finished the day with three punts inside the 20-yard line and one for a touchback.

On the season, Butts is averaging 37.1 yards per punt on 33 punts with 15 punts inside the 20-yard line.

The two PSAC weekly award winners this week give Slippery Rock a total of nine PSAC Athletes of the Week this fall with QB Noah Grover leading the way with three offensive honors.

Ninth-ranked Slippery Rock will look to continue its postseason push and lock up a fourth straight NCAA Playoff appearance when Kutztown visits Saturday for a 1 p.m. kickoff in the regular season finale.
