LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University football team landed a division-leading 14 players on the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division team that was announced Wednesday by the league office after voting by the head coaches.

All of the other 13 SRU honorees were named to their first All-PSAC team, even though some of them were honored by their previous conferences before transferring into The Rock. Marx was joined in earning first team accolades by defensive end
D.J. Adediwura, defensive back
Jalen Dangerfield, running back
Chris D'Or, tight end
Max Maciejewski and return specialist
Jawon Hall.

Jacob Williams, while punter

The Rock finished the PSAC West schedule with a 6-1 record as part of a three-way tie for the division title with Indiana (Pa.) and Gannon. It marked the fourth straight year SRU has finished atop the PSAC West standings and the eighth time in the last 11 seasons.
Â
Slippery Rock was one of just 12 total teams in Division II to be nationally ranked in the preseason poll and stay in the top 25 in every poll released during the 2022 season. The Rock will enter their fourth straight NCAA Playoffs this weekend with a 9-2 overall record and a No. 20 national ranking. SRU will travel to Assumption University for a noon kickoff Saturday in Worcester, Massachusetts.
