LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Slippery Rock University placekicker
DJ Opsatnik was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division Special Teams Athlete of the Week for his performance in The Rock's win over Clarion.

Opsatnik, a junior from Imperial, Pennsylvania, earns his first PSAC weekly award of the season after a perfect kicking day in SRU's 31-0 win at Clarion.

He scored seven of the team's points, connecting on all four of his extra point kicks and booting a 37-yard field goal, which marked his longest made field goal this season.
Â
Opsatnik is 39-of-40 on extra point attempts this season and has moved up to No. 8 all-time at Slippery Rock with 91 made extra points over the last two seasons.

The Rock have had seven PSAC Athletes of the Week this fall with QB
Noah Grover leading the way with three offensive honors. Running back
Chris D'Or was also recognized on offense once, while
D.J. Adediwura earned one defensive award and
Jawon Hall earned one special teams award.

Slippery Rock will look to continue its postseason push and lock up at least a share of a fourth straight PSAC West title with a 1 p.m. kickoff at home Saturday against Edinboro.
