SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's soccer team fell at home to Mercyhurst University, 1-0, on Saturday at James Egli Field.
The loss snaps Slippery Rock's four-game winning streak and moves its record to 4-1-1 overall and 3-1-0 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division. Mercyhurst improved to 2-2-1 overall and 1-1-1 in the conference with the win.

Slippery Rock's best look at an equalizer came in the 65th minute when
Kayla Swope rocketed a shot off the crossbar followed by an immediate put back by
Olivia Yoder that went wide. SRU also had a goal called nullified in the second half due to The Rock being offsides.
The Rock was lead on offense by
Rachel Edge, who took four total shots with three being on target followed by
Julia Mascaro and
Jordyn Minda taking two shots on goal apiece. Swope and
Olivia Yoder rounded out the attack with The Rock's remaining two shot on goal.
Emma Yoder made two saves while allowing the game's only goal over 90 minutes.
For the game, Slippery Rock held advantages in total shots (12-6), shots on goal (9-3) and corner kicks (3-1).
Slippery Rock travels to Indiana University (Pa.) for a PSAC West faceoff 4 p.m. Wednesday.
