ERIE, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's track and field team won 13 of the 16 events it competed in at the Behrend Invitational Sunday afternoon at Penn State Behrend.

The Rock were competing for the second time in the last four days after also hosting the SRU Invitational Thursday. Sunday's meet was the smallest of the season for Slippery Rock as the meet consisted mostly of SRU, Carnegie Mellon and Penn State Behrend, with a selection of club athletes from Mercyhurst and Gannon also competing.

The Rock picked up a pair of NCAA provisional marks on the day in addition to the 13 wins with
Trinity Clark and
Skylar Sherry both reaching the standard in the javelin. Clark won the event with a mark of 46.73 meters, her second-best effort of the season. Sherry was second with a season-best effort of 43.35 meters.

The Rock won all four throwing events Sunday with
Jena Reinheimer taking a pair of wins with throws of 47.92 meters in the hammer and 42.64 meters in the discus.
Sarah Corrie capped the sweep of the throws with a season-best effort of 12.66 meters to win the shot put.
Rachel Hutchinson was second in both the hammer (47.70m) and discus (38.46m) and Reinheimer was second in the shot put (11.84m) as SRU went 1-2 in all four disciplines.

The Rock also picked up wins in every jumping event Sunday, led by
Katie Bonczyk with a pair of victories. She cleared 1.55 meters to win the high jump and had a leap of 11.20 meters to win the triple jump.
Cecily Greggs was second in the high jump (1.50m) and
Ashanti Richardson was second in the triple jump (11.16m).
Kendall Grossman won the pole vault with a clearance of 3.50 meters, with
Olivia Sentle and
Sarah Schneider clearing 3.20 meters to place right behind her.
Samantha Gilbert capped the jumps wins with a leap of 5.30 meters in the long jump.

The Rock picked up wins on the track at every distance from 1,500 meters down.

Morgan Donatelli and
Lorna Speigle went 1-2 in the 200-meter dash with Donatelli winning in 26.15 seconds and Speigle placing second in 26.25 seconds. They flipped spots in the 400-meter dash, with Speigle winning in 59.35 seconds and Donatelli placing second in 59.49 seconds.

Thai-Lin Pierce led the way in the 100-meter dash with a winning time of 12.85 seconds, with Gilbert placing second in 12.94 seconds.

Anna Igims led the distance runners with a season-best effort of 4:57.81 to win the 1,500-meter run.
Julianna Stevens was second in 5:16.82.
Jordan Klick capped the top performances in the mid-distance races with a win in the 800-meter run in 2:30.56.
Aidan Mulvihill was second in 2:34.93.

Allyson Stitzer took second in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:08.20 and
Kendra Benton was second in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.96 seconds to round out the top performances Sunday.

Slippery Rock will compete in two different meets next weekend as a final tune-up before the PSAC Championships May 6-8 at Shippensburg. The Rock will send many of its field event athletes to Carnegie Mellon next Friday to compete in a dual-meet Field Event Classic with CMU. The rest of The Rock team will travel to Windber High School in Johnstown, Pennsylvania Saturday for a meet hosted by Pitt-Johnstown.
