Rock advances to PSAC Tournament semifinals

The scheduled PSAC Tournament quarterfinal match between the Slippery Rock women’s tennis team and Mercyhurst has been canceled due to injury issues within the Lakers’ program. Because of the cancelation, SRU will advance to the PSAC Tournament semifinal round Wednesday at Indiana (Pa.).

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - The scheduled Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Tournament quarterfinal match between the Slippery Rock University women's tennis team and Mercyhurst University has been canceled.

The match, which was scheduled to be played 11 a.m. Saturday at the SRU Tennis Courts, was forced to be canceled due to injury issues within the Lakers' program.

Because of the cancelation, SRU will now advance to the PSAC Tournament semifinal round 2 p.m. Wednesday against Indiana University (Pa.). Slippery Rock lost a close 4-3 decision to the Crimson Hawks earlier in the year.

A full preview of Wednesday's semifinal match will be posted early next week. Any further updates to Slippery Rock's schedule will be announced on RockAthletics.com and all of SRU's social media outlets as information becomes available.
